GG and I gave each other a challenge for the week. Mine is that I can't say anything negative about my body. Day 1 was a success but I can't count how many negative thoughts I had. The hope is that by not being able to say them I might start to control my thoughts...and make a bigger challenge next week. Ever since I started working out and my body started to change in good ways, I started to see the things that aren't changing and things that I want to change.
Do you guys have negative thoughts about your body or am I really in a slump concerning my body image? Which as I say this, I also notice some of the good things about my body too but the problem is that I dwell on the negative. :(

I don't think it is negative to realize that there are things you can change to be healthier. If you are dwelling on things you can't change than that's negative. I make very sure, especially around my girls, never to say I am exercising because I am fat, or that I don't like the way I look. I exercise and eat the way I do to be healthy and to show gratitude for the body that Heavenly Father gave me. And keep in mind that you will probably never have the body you WANT, but if you take care of the one you have you'll have one that will be made perfect in the next life according to the Lord's standards and not the distorted world's view. It helps me keep perspective.
